Parkwood VI Homeowners Association Meeting

Meeting called to order: 7:01 pm
Call/Roll of the Board: Mr. Permission did a roll call of the board. The above names listed were in attendance.
President’s Report: Not much news. Some issues with neighboring community on the other side of the
Canal with littering. Police and code enforcement will not support us without video evidence. Please maintain the aesthetics of your home to keep our community looking good. Currently the board is signing documents virtually (
Treasurer’s Report:
Checking- $56,971.94 Fixed CD- $35,312.20 Projects Account- $21,960.00 Savings: $5,633.89
Total in accounts: $119,878.03.
Unfinished Business:
Canal Owners: homeowners who live on the canal, friendly reminder to maintain the property on the canal. Keep lawns trimmed, trees cut back, etc. Need emergency personnel to be able to get by if needed. Also, property should be maintained. Please don’t lock gates.
Asphalt Repair: the catch basin outside of (house #6663) is complete.
New business:
Street Parking: per the Coconut Creek Police Department and state law if you are parking on the street you must park in the same direction of traffic otherwise you will be ticketed.
Preserve Trimming: HOA board will contact tree specialists for preserve trimming 10 feet back. We will also look at nuisance and unsafe trees. The homeowner is responsible to maintain the trimming. When we schedule the preserve trimming the HOA Board will notify homeowners, so if they want to inquire about special pricing for trimming trees on their property it can be done. A company will be coming out soon.

Holiday Lights- if interested in having front entry decorated with lights. We can hire someone.
Jay will investigate pricing. All members present at the meeting would like it to be done.
Canal Owners- Having issues with neighboring community littering. If we can please clean up and keep our waterways clean.
Bulk/yard garbage- garbage and bulk should not go out on the street until the night before. Also do not place trash out into the middle of the road. Place on yard and/or swale of your home.
Neighborhood Library- Thank you to Bernardo for building the Little Library. It is a beautiful addition to our community. Put a book in and take a book out.
Treasurer: $300-350 a month. We are looking to have our accounting for the community outsourced.
Cecilia is moving and this is her last meeting. The treasurer position is open. We are truly grateful for everything she has done for this community. She will be deeply missed.
Holiday Party Dates- January 11, 2025 will be our Annual Winter/Holiday party. We will provide main food, tables, chairs, etc. Community members bring side dishes, ex. Desserts, appetizers, side dishes, etc..
Closing remarks from James Permission- Special thanks to Cecilia and all her service the last 10 years on the board, She will be deeply missed. We wish her all the best in her new home.
